Record Holding Pets

Images of Pets that hold records!

The world record for the most tennis balls held in the mouth by a dog at one time is five. It is held by Augie, a golden retriever owned by the Miller family in Dallas, Texas, USA.

The tallest dog living is Gibson, a harlequin great Dane, who measured 107 cm (42.2 in) tall on August 31, 2004 and is owned by Sandy Hall of Grass Valley, California, USA.

The shortest dog in terms of length is Heaven Sent Brandy, a female chihuahua who measured 15.2 cm (6 in) from the nose to the tip of the tail on January 31, 2005. Brandy lives with her owner, Paulette Keller in Largo, Florida, USA.

“Hercules”, an English Mastiff with a 38” neck, is the current record holder at 282 lbs.

At just 1.4 pounds and 4.9 inches tall, the three-year-old short-coat Chihuahua now has something to flounce about: Ducky of Charlton was declared the world’s smallest living dog, by height, by Guinness World Records June 21, 2007.

Sam was a purebred Chinese Crested Hairless who won the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest in 2003, 2004, and 2005. He was almost 15 years old and passed away in 2006. A new dog has received the title, but I think Sam is still most worthy for now.
